Ten years ago, on August 22, 2012, the Asian Chapter of the International Academy of Orthokeratology Asia (IAOA) was officially established in Nanjing. Under the leadership of the first president, Prof. Peiying Xie, and the current president, Prof. Fan Lu, the IAOA has been committed to providing a platform for communication with domestic and foreign personnel engaged in Ortho-k lens fitting and research in China, to improve the technical level of this industry in China, to regulate the industry’s behavior, and to enable the faster and healthier development of Orthokeratology in China.
In this decade, according to the needs of myopia prevention and control in China, IAOA has been developing rapidly, and now IAOA has more than 10,000 basic members, 78 senior members of SIAOA in China and 27 senior members of FIAOMC internationally.
For this reason, we will hold the IAOA 10th Anniversary Celebration and IAOA Membership Conference Online Symposium on December 21-23, 2022.
