The Asian Chapter of the IAOA was established in China on March 30, 2012, led by internationally renowned ophthalmologist ,Dr.Pei-Ying Xie. As China is one of the largest myopic countries, and myopia prevention and control for young children is a key project in the field of optometry, so orthokeratology has received a lot of attention. Since 2012, IAOA has provided extensive training and educational activities through its platform in China.
